Jus wouldn’t believe we had 11 sandwiches this day. < that’s a sandwich pun. Welcome to Club:Sandwich, yet another exclusive group of middle aged men sampling their favorite foods.
But yeah, you read that right. We ate 11 sandwiches between 2 restaurants in the span of 3 hours.
Because we ate 11 sandwiches, I’m going to give each restaurant its own time to shine. We started at Il Bracco and finished here @bobbiesairwaygrill. For fun, I decided to post these first.
They make their own bread… a detailed often overlooked but truly the staple behind a great sandwich. Fresh. Bread. Oh those biscuits.. slap yo mama good.
Each sandwich was meticulously crafted over time with a thought and passion for curating the perfect sandwich. When you’re swiping, I have to wonder who was more excited about the chili cheese dog… the server? Or us! Spoiler, I was the most excited.
I wish I could tell you about all of them but you probably haven’t even read this far.
I’ll say the Tuna and Falafel were truly awe inspiring. The chili cheese dog and Italian dip are worth naming your kids after. The club was flawless. And the burger and chicken sandwiches would hold their own in a street fight with their competitors.
Not shown is the heavily pistachio carrot cake and chocolate cake. Both π«‘π€―
The cheesecake and donut holes were breathtaking, meaning I couldn’t take a breath because I didn’t want to stop.
Enjoy the sandwiches and get there soon for the sandwich you didn’t know you needed.

Life is about balance… they balanced a tray full of tacos and I ate em.
It used to be you could only be LUCKY ENOUGH to get tacos from @vaquerostxbbq on Thursday taco nights at the food trailer. But, lucky for us with the recent move to the special brick and mortar you can get them on certain days through the week for lunch or dinner with birria served everyday.
Enjoy some shots from my recent Taco Tuesday and I look forward to sharing a more in depth preview with you shortly.

Yeah, we are aware of the table pancakes and how incredibly good they are at @encinadallas.
Well everything on the brunch menu is solid, but what if I told you the dinner menu was just as star studded? Swipe to see some of the superstars I’m talking about.
The pastrami beef cheek and hatch chili and pepper jack bratwurst were our favorites for sure. But each one of these plates are uniquely special and I challenge you to try them all!
While their brunch is famous, the dinner deserves the same recognition. Look out for my article coming in April where I break it all down in Avid Golfer magazine.
For now, enjoy the show.

As @davespizzaoven and I continue to sample all the π DFW has to offer, I had to bring him to @divisionbrewing to try out their tavern pie.
I felt like Dave was in disbelief through the entire meal. Each bite showcasing the unbelievable crisp texture and the near flawless char along the edges. While it was a cold day, it was empty and for the life of us we couldn’t understand why.
As much as we want good pizza here, I sometimes feel we’re not worthy. The best places don’t get the love they deserve and they come and go. Few good ones remain, so make sure to show them love so we don’t lose them.
And as always, if you haven’t had the tavern pie from @divisionbrewing, we highly suggest you do.

Recently visited the boys at @hoodoobrownbbq and snapped a ton of pics but this Hogzilla is soo good and I didn’t want to wait to post.
Enjoy this for now… lots more coming! If you haven’t made the visit to Hoodoo, I highly recommend it. From the food to the culture, easily one of my favorite places I’ve been.

I think I left apizza my heart in New Haven.
Okay. I’m sorry, that was bad, but that pizza was amazing.
@cody_hoodoobrownbbq from @hoodoobrownbbq took me on a mini pizza tour of a couple famed New Haven apizza spots. We hit @sallysapizza, @frankpepepizza and @roselandapizza. I still don’t understand how tomato sauce on a crispy coal fired crust can taste so good… but it does. I feel like I could have eaten 2 whole tomato pies but we had to save room for more.
After having my mind blown by the tomato pie we continued to sample the variety that New Haven has to offer. We tried not only the tomato, but cheese, potato & rosemary, clams w/bacon, and even a shrimp apizza. Each one unique in its own way but that tomato from Sally’s… I’ll dream about for years, or until my return. While I wish my photos turned out better, it was quite honestly an afterthought due to my overwhelming excitement. Swipe through and check it out and if you love pizza like I do, I highly suggest you make this trip soon.
Can’t wait to head back from more.

I’ll start by saying @nadcburger is a bit bigger than most places I choose to post, but @neenwilliams has always been a huge supporter of the local food scene in Fort Worth, and I’m a huge supporter of him and those who support my home. β¨β¨By now, I’m sure most are familiar with Neen and @phillipfranklandlee story, but for those that aren’t you can find it inside the box the burger comes in or you can read it briefly here. After bonding over cooking & skateboarding, the duo set out on a mission to make a great burger with lots of R&D, traveling to different burger joins and finding out what would make theirs special. They’ve done a pretty damn good job with it. β¨β¨Featuring Wagyu patties from @rcranchtx, the patties are smashed seared and blanketed with American cheese, their secret sauce, onions, tamed jalapeños and of course pickles. It’s everything you want a smash burger to be… smashed, crispy for texture, a little messy and comforting. Additionally you can order some beast mode fries that are essentially the details of the burger minus the patties. Although… now that I think about it, they should do one with patties. I’m hungry now. β¨β¨Fort Worth now has another smash burger spot which continues to be all the rage right now and for good reason. Outside of that, the space is super chill, located in the heart of downtown Fort Worth which could really use the resurgence of youth and a sought after food destination. It’s spacious with tons of seating and a full bar up front. If I still skated, which I don’t because I gave that up YEARSSSSSS ago, it seems like the perfect place to finish your skate and indulge on their food.

By no stretch of the imagination could I imagine a better place to have my birthday meal than @osteriamuro. While my birthday isn’t until the 12th, we chose this weekend to celebrate rather than compete with the Valentine’s crowds.
As I said. I wouldn’t have chose anywhere else. While our visits are much further apart than I would like, it always feels like a home away from home. I wish I had the words to describe these dishes appropriately but I just can’t. I’ll leave it to Ben, our favorite server.
Chef @pastaio_muro recommended the Pork Jowl steak, the featured image and it will easily go down as one of the most memorable bites to date. While each dish shined like the brightest star you’ve seen in the night sky, my other favorite of the evening was the Farrotto. Similar to Risotto but cooked with Farro instead of rice gave it a much nuttier flavor.
Swipe through and enjoy, the night ended perfectly just as this carousel will with a grilled cake covered in blood orange marmalade, mascarpone and candied pistachios.
Thank you @osteriamuro for such a wonderful evening.
